My last post I posted up pictures of chocolate butterflies I made for my nieces birthday cake. Today, I have a quick tutorial on how to make these. Chocolate butterflies are a great way to add a bit of decoration to your cakes without using fondant. Its easy to make, and you can make them in different colours and sizes. I used nestle white chocolate melts as the chocolate wont melt on your cake. Make sure you use gel paste colours to colour your chocolate!
I made this cake for my nieces 2nd birthday. She likes pink. and butterflies!
This cake is made out of complete chocolate, the butterflies, the white chocolate collar around the cake.. no fondant used!
The butterflies are easy to make and so is the white collar around the cake. Its an easy alternative to using fondant. Ill be posting up a tutorial on how to make the butterflies soon 🙂
I was asked to make my first batch of corporate cupcakes a few weeks ago, so I decided to make some mint flavoured cupcakes with vanilla buttercream to match the company logo colours. The toppers had the company logo and were all handmade using strips of green fondant. Although each topper took me almost 15 minutes to get the logo right, I was happy with the end results!
Here are some cupcakes I made for a little girls 7th Birthday! I used green, teal and pink colour combo to create these toppers and the cupcakes were flavoured vanilla buttercream on vanilla cupcakes.
